Mahdi agrees to the establishment of Dhi Qar oil company: extraction and production is in the hands of people of the province

Abdul Mahdi’s approval came during a meeting with the Governor of Dhi Qar , Yahya al-Naseri, in which the minister discussed with him the implementation of the judge's decision to establish Dhi Qar oil company, according to a statement issued by the minister's office received by "Shafaq News".

The Minister of Oil , Adel Abdul-Mahdi agreed to form Dhi Qar oil company, saying that "the establishment of this company came from our belief in the application of law 21 of provinces powers."

He added that "the establishment of Dhi Qar oil company means that the process of extraction and production of oil fields of the province is now in the hands of people of the province and under their direct supervision after the oil field board of Dhi Qar followed in management Basra’s oil company."
