The ministry said in its monthly export about the quantities of oil that it has exported an average of 577 621 barrels of crude oil through the port of Ceyhan, indicating that 407 111 barrels were extracted from oil wells in Kurdistan as total exported quantities, While extracted amounts from wells of Kirkuk reached 177 529 barrels.

The report also pointed out that the ministry handed over an average of 448 889 barrels of exported quantities to the Iraqi national oil marketing company "SOMO" daily during May.

The ministry’s statement also stressed Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to the general Iraqi budget for 2015, under the agreement signed between Baghdad and Erbil, Kurdistan Region exports crude oil abroad, pointing out that the ministry is continuing to increase the volume of oil exports.

The oil agreement between Erbil and Baghdad during the formation of the current Iraqi government last year stipulates that the regional government export an average of 550 000 barrels of crude oil a day for the benefit of the Iraqi Oil Ministry, including 300 000 barrels of Kirkuk oilfields and 250 000 barrels of fields of the region, as Baghdad must abide to send the region's share of the general Iraqi budget, amounting to 17% of them, but the two sides allege the other party's non commitment to the agreement and the budget law.
