Iraq- Turkey oil exports stop

The attack took place at about five a.m. at Baghdad timing near Ain Jahesh area about 30 kilometers southern Mosul city.

“Reforming the line would take about 24 hours,” The officials said in a statement to Reuters briefed by "Shafaq News”.

A source in North Oil Company said that " gunmen planted a bomb a pipeline, which stopped the flow of crude and we have sent a technical team to the site to assess the damage and begin the repair work."

Iraq's oil exports have been affected strongly due to the continuous stop in pumping oil from Kirkuk oilfields to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean because of attacks and leak in pipelines.

Since 21 of past June, pumping Iraqi oil pipeline to Turkey didn’t take place but only for a limited period.

Exports rose last month, reaching 2.579 million barrels per day in August, up from 2.324 million barrels per day in July as a result of starting oil production in new fields south of the country.
