Iraq starts export from new floating device by 800 thousand barrels per day

“The ministry and as a part of a project to increase export capacities which include the establishment of giant tanks and three pipelines freely in addition to installing four floating platforms and another fifth one of the Japanese loan began exporting from unilateral third floating device(spm3 ) south of the country ,” The spokesman of the Ministry of Oil, Assem Jihad said in an interview received by "Shafaq News".

“The capacity of the floating device is up to 800 thousand barrels per day of crude oil for export”.

He added that Iraq has increased the export its energies during the last two years by operating two floating devices in Iraqi territorial waters and by a capacity of up to 800 thousand barrels per day each.

Jihad said that Iraq aims to raise the export capacity of the port to the south by more than 4.5 million barrels per day and that the operation of such floating device will achieve high flexibility in the process of exporting oil .

The Ministry of Oil announced earlier this year completing setting up and installing the Central counters platform, which includes sophisticated electronic counters devices measuring devices , world-class control systems and control the exported quantities from the platforms of the four floating devices , which achieved high elasticity to absorb the increasing production of crude oil .
