Iraq signs contract of 72 million $ with Korea to implement electrical stations

The ministry said in a statement obtained by “Shafaq News” that “it has signed a contract with the South Korean company Hyosung to implement transformation electricity projects stations in several provinces.

“The contract includes the preparation of all the designs and processing of materials and equipment, in a completion of up to 16 months to contribute to these projects in overcoming the problem of lack of electricity ,”the statement added.

Iraq has suffered a shortage of electricity since the beginning of 1990, and increased electricity rationing hours after 2003 in Baghdad and the provinces, because made ​​a lot of stations were sabotaged over the past years.
