Iraq signs an agreement worth 11 billion $ with Shell to set up a petrochemical complex

to build a petrochemical complex in the oil center of Basra south of the country.

Issawi said at a news conference in Baghdad, reported by Reuters , seen by "Shafaq News" that “Nebras petrochemical complex will make Iraq the biggest producer of petrochemicals in the Middle East.

It was not immediately clear , the expected output of the complex size. It is expected to start working within five to six years.

Shell is one of the major producers of oil south of Iraq and had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry on this project in 2012.
