Iraq produces heaters work on solar energy soon
and its intention to expand the renewable energy projects.
This came on the sidelines of their participation in the first Sustainable and Renewable Energy Conference held by the Iraqi Society of Engineers in cooperation with Baghdad provincial council for the period from the ninth of current month and for two days under the slogan (renewable energies to ensure the best environment(.
The director general of the industrial research and development commission , Sadiq al-Tamimi said in a statement received by Shafaq News, that after the minister , Mohamed Saheb al- Darraji has been informed on the aspects of this project , he paid great support and ordered to allocate a plant for the production of solar water heaters on the need for the expansion of renewable energy projects.
He noted that the Ministry of Industry and Minerals has prepared recommendations that will be presented during the conference represented by the legislation of renewable energies law in Iraq, like all other states and resettlement of solar water heaters industry and localize the production of electrical power systems industry based on solar and wind energy, sprinkler irrigation and drip irrigation systems, water pumps systems and water-lifting systems by using solar energy, pointing out that Iraq has large solar abundance up to 4500 watts per square meter, while the European countries which are largely concerned with the issue of renewable energies do not have but 500 watts per square meter only.
Tamimi added that the Commission, in coordination and cooperation with Baghdad Provincial Council and the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Science and Technology has set up numerous seminars and provided research and conducted joint meetings that included all experts and specialists who gathered in Iraq in order to get out with a unified vision on renewable energy projects for being promising projects where Iraq is late form the rest of the countries in the this area, articulating the preparation of draft legislation law to set up renewable energies commission in Iraq.
