Iraq exports 78 million barrels of oil

, where the volume of exports reached (78.7) million barrels, while achieved revenues were (7.764) million dollars.

 

The Iraqi oil exports were amounted to 2.417 million barrels per day (bpd) last March.

“The exported quantities of crude oil for April was divided between Basra oil with total exports of (69.5) million barrels, as the achieved revenues value reached (6.879) billion and eight hundred and seventy-nine million dollars,” The ministry spokesman, Assem Jihad said in a statement received by “Shafaq News”.

“Kirkuk oil exports amounted (9.2) million barrels and the achieved revenue (885) million dollars,” adding that “the selling price average reached 98.705 per barrel,” Jihad said.

“The above quantities were loaded by the international oil companies that carry different nationalities of (31) oil companies from the ports of Basra , Khor al-Amaya on the Arabian Gulf and the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean Sea and trucks to Jordan,” he added.

Iraq's oil exports increased after signing contracts with international energy companies to develop the discovered fields and further exploration. As it is likely for the country’s production to reach between 6 and 8 million bpd by 2017.
