Iraq announces the highest rate of export of oil in 35 years

The spokesman Assem Jihad said, "according to preliminary statistical oil exports for December 2014 that the daily export rate reached 2.94 million barrels, the highest export rate achieved since 1980".

The total exports in the same month were 91.14 million barrels, an increase of about 16 million barrels for the amount of exports in November, according to monthly statistics prepared by the Ministry.

In spite of the high exported quantity, but the oil revenues amounted to five billion in December and $ 247 million was by an increase of 90 thousand dollars from the previous month, due to decrease prices of a barrel of oil globally.

It is noteworthy that December had also witnessed the announcement of the Turkish government for launching the purchase of Iraqi oil shipments from both Baghdad and Kurdistan Region.
