Ghaban agrees to convert "Qaladiza" border port in Kurdistan to an official crossing

“ Ghaban met a delegation from Kurdistan of the Federal Parliament and the Parliament of the region,” The Ministry of Interior said in a statement reported for "Shafaq News”.

The statement added that "the delegation provided an explanation of the circumstances and the history of the struggle of Bashder area and tragedies suffered by Qaladiza city."

The statement said that " the delegation called the central government and the Ministry of Interior to move economy in Qaladiza , convert it to a formal port , fight against smuggling and control the illegal movement of goods."

The statement quoted Ghaban as saying that "I do not mind it in principle, but they must submit a formal request in accordance with legal regulations and submit it to the central government to take the appropriate action."
