"We have a vision for the future to develop the relationship between Iraq and the United States, especially in the economy and investment field," explaining that “Iraq took its natural place in the region and its exit from Chapter VII is the evidence,” Faili said in a statement to American Business Council received by “Shafaq News”.

He explained that Iraq is seeking to attract banks and investors to finance infrastructure projects , trade relations and economic interests that will have an important impact on the strategic term, referring to the contract of arming and training Iraqi air force, which extends for twenty years.

He noted to other sectors that need substantial investment over the coming years as the housing sector, as Iraq needs about two million housing units.

Ambassador , Luqman al-Faili submitted according to the statement his appreciation for the sacrifices of the American and Iraqi peoples and expressed his belief that these sacrifices will be the basis for future commitments between Iraq and the United States.

The Iraqi Embassy in Washington announced on 1 June, that the new Iraqi ambassador Luqman al-Faili who submitted his papers as an ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United States.

Faili had announced at the beginning of last month, the first batch of Iraqi pilots who are trained to lead the F-16 fighter jets will graduate at the end of the mentioned month, while stressing that Iraq will received 36 aircraft later this year.
