pointing out that the oil reserves of the region is 60 billion barrels, the bulk of them are sure.

Khansi said in news reported by Sulaymaniyah network , seen by Shafaq News, that the quantity of crude oil in the region reached 45 billion barrels, adding that due to the lack of exploration , the remaining amount has not been confirmed so far.

He added that the reserve is present in 57 oil fields cities spread over the region as 35-36 foreign company work in them.

He stressed that the oil production rate in the current year amounted to 700 000 barrels per day, pointing out that oil and gas companies if made more surveys than expected, the proportion rises to one million barrels by the end of this year.

He said that if problems did not happen, the weakness rate will rise to double in the year after next year, pointing to the presence of 5 to 6 trillion cubic meters of certain natural gas.

It was due for KRG to establish and extend other two pipelines to transport oil and gas to Turkey by the end of 2016, in this regard Khansi said that the financial crisis and the situation in the region caused not extending the two pipelines so far.
