DNO enhances production in Kurdistan to 120 thousand b / d in May

The company sold 60 percent of the production of the domestic market in May , while 40 percent was shipped by export pipeline in Vichabour to Turkey , according to what Reuters reported , seen by " Shafaq News " .

Previous estimates indicate production of 100 thousand barrels per day .

DNO International owns 55 percent stake in the license while Genel Energy owns a 25 percent stake and Kurdistan government owns 20 percent .

Kurdistan began last month to export its oil to world markets via the new pipeline extending to Turkey 's Mediterranean which angered Baghdad that alluded to sue buyers and Turkey .

DNO announced in February it plans to create a second pipeline to export more oil to Turkey from Tauki field.

The company has completed in 2013 the establishment of the first pipeline to transport crude oil from Kurdistan region to Turkey located just a few kilometers from the border with Turkey .
