“Barzani and his accompanying delegation have arrived on Wednesday to the Swiss city of Davos in order to participate in the World Economic Forum, adding that he met with Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Robal ,” A statement for the presidency of the region reported for " Shafaq News”.

The statement said that Barzani announced during the meeting that Kurdistan Region pays great attention to its relations with the Netherlands, expressing optimism about a bright future for these relations.

He added that the talk about Syrian refugees in Kurdistan Region was another aspect of the meeting , noting that Robal said that he is informed on the number of " massive " of refugees that is considered a burden on Kurdistan Region .

For his part, President Barzani according to the statement, noted that Kurdistan Region has received more than 250 thousand Syrians which is a humanitarian and national duty, calling on the international community to help these refugees in a better way.

The statement said that the two sides also discussed the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, in this regard Barzani announced that the parties now in the process of the talks in order to address the problems.

The meeting also discussed the procedures for Iraqi elections , scheduled to take place during April of the current year , as well as problems in Anbar city and addressing " terrorism."

Barzani participates for the second year in a row at the World Economic Forum in Davos , which discusses the economic and political situation in many countries and regions of the world and ways to contribute in addressing the problems.
