Baghdad calls Russian investors to work in Iraq

“The Iraqi government would help all the possible Russian businessmen who want to visit Iraq and cooperate with it, “ Iraq's ambassador to Moscow, Ismail Shafik Muhsen said in a statement received by “Shafaq News”.

The ambassador said in his speech in an expanded session of the Russian-Arab Council of Labor in the Industry and Commerce Federation , that Russia has a strong base that can help in the development of Iraqi industry , particularly in the areas of construction, in particular, building bridges , the development of flights between the two countries and cooperation in the field of agriculture, especially the Russian export of agricultural commodities to Iraq and cooperation in the development of the Iraqi industry in the oil and phosphate field.

The relationship between Baghdad and Moscow has improved after 2003 , especially after the rejection of Russia's invasion of the coalition forces led by the United States to Iraq.

Countries are working to revitalize their relations in accordance with the new directions of the foreign policy of new Iraq. As the period from 2003 to the present time has witnessed reciprocal visits between officials of the two countries , Iraq was the initiator .
