Ammara electrical station opened with capacity of 500 MW

and a total cost of $ 149 million.

Mohammed Fathi, spokesman for the Minister of Electricity said in a statement seen by Shafaq News that "The Minister of Electricity , Qassim al-Fahdawi opened Ammara electricity gas station of 500 MW, which consists of four units of energy per unit with a capacity of 125 MW".

Fathi said that " the station is linked to the national network as the total cost was $ 149 million."

He pointed out that "the project was carried out by the Korean company stx while equipments of obstetric unit from General electric US company."

Fathi said that "Ammara gas station is currently working on acid gas through a tube from al- Halfaya field in Maysan province into the project.
