U.S. downscaled crude imports from Iraq in February, EIA says

Shafaq News/ U.S. imports of crude oil from Iraq averaged 258 thousand barrels per day (bpd) last month, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Sunday.

According to EIA's monthly report, December imports from Iraq amounted to 7.224 barrels, 28% below January's 10.044 (average 324 bpd).

Iraq oil exports to the U.S. averaged 226 thousand bpd in the first week of February, then 225 thousand bpd in the second. It jumped to 285 and 295 thousand bpd in the third and fourth weeks, respectively.

Iraq ranked fofth among the United States' top crude oil suppliers behind Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Columbia.
