Iraqi Ministry of Finance to release civil and military pensions

Shafaq News / The Ministry of Finance issued on Tuesday a directive to disburse the civil and military pensions for January 2021.
Iraq suffers from the difficulty of distributing employees' and retirees' salaries due to the drop in oil prices on which the federal budget depends by 90%.
Last year, the Iraqi Council of Representatives approved the Fiscal Deficit Law, which allows the Iraqi government to borrow money to finance salaries.
