Iraq sends 33 gas oil tankers to Lebanon
Shafaq News / The Iraqi authorities sent, on Monday, 33 tanks of gas oil to Lebanon, through the Al-Qaim border crossing with Syria.
In a statement, the Border crossings Authority said, "under the directives of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and the direct supervision of the head of the Border crossings Authority, Omar Al-Waeli, the entry procedures of humanitarian aid to the Syrian side through Al-bu Kamal crossing were facilitated by Al-Qaim crossing in Al-Anbar".
The statement added, "33 tankers each of which was loaded by 36,000 liters of gas oil per were sent from the Republic of Iraq to the sisterly Republic of Lebanon to support its economy after the disaster of the explosions that affected the capital, Beirut".
The statement indicated, "this aid comes from the belief in the principle of solidarity and cooperation among Arab countries to overcome the current crisis that has engulfed the Lebanese economy and society".
