Basrah crudes post weekly losses

Iraq’s Basrah crude ended the week down more than 3%, despite gains in the final trading session and higher benchmark crude futures.
Basrah Heavy crude climbed by $3.95, or 5.79%, in the final session to settle at $72.16 per barrel, but recorded a weekly loss of $2.41, or 3.23%, from $74.57 at the start of the week.
Basrah Medium crude rose by $3.65, or 5.10%, to close at $75.16 per barrel, posting a weekly loss of $2.89, or 3.70%, from its opening level of $78.05.
Brent crude futures settled at $104.72 per barrel, up 44 cents, or 0.42%, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures gained 36 cents, or 0.39%, to finish at $91.85 per barrel.
