Al-Kadhimi approves releasing wheat growers dues

Shafaq News / Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi approved today releasing dues for wheat growers, according to the minister of Trade, Alaa Al-Jubouri.

In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, Al-Jubouri said that Al-Kadhimi approved the minutes of the meeting of the Quartet, consisting of the Ministers of Trade, Finance, Agriculture and the advisor to the Prime Minister.

He added, "600 billion dinars will be disbursed: 77 billion were transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and 523 to the Ministry of Trade".

He explained, "We will continue to release future payments as by the Prime Minister’s directives to pay farmers’ dues in the next three months and the ministry’s plan to finalize their distribution before the end of the current year".

The Ministry of Trade had released two payments estimated by 353 billion Iraqis earlier this year.
