Shafaq News / The Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talbani, confirmed during his reception by the President of the region, Nechirvan Barzani, on Wednesday, that the region is committed to solving all problems with Baghdad on the basis of the constitution

According to a statement by the Kurdistan Region Presidency received by Shafaq News agency; the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talbani, in the presence of the two Vice Presidents of the region, pointing out that Talbani presented during the meeting an overview of the latest developments in the negotiations between Erbil and Baghdad.

 The statement indicated that Talbani stressed that the Kurdistan Region will commit to solving all outstanding problems with Baghdad on the basis of the constitution.

 The statement added that the political and economic situations and steps to confront the Corona virus were other axes in the meeting, noting that the two sides stressed for more coordination among all parties to overcome problems and crises.

 The Kurdistan Region delegation has been holding talks with Baghdad for months to solve the outstanding differences between the two sides for many years.

 Statements issued by both sides suggest that the talks are proceeding in a positive way to reach agreements.

 There are pending files between the two sides for many years, including the disputed areas,  the oil revenues, the region’s share of the federal budget; the salaries of the region’s employees and the Peshmerga.
