A delegation from the women’s units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrived in Damascus for talks with Syrian officials, a source told Shafaq News on Wednesday.
The delegation includes commanders Rohlat Afrin and Suzdar Haji (Derik), with the meeting set for later in the day. Talks will focus on integrating the women’s units into the Syrian army under ongoing understandings between the two sides.
The meeting comes amid a stalled process launched in 2025 to merge SDF forces into state structures, with disputes over whether units should be integrated collectively or individually and previous deadlines missed.
