Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), needs a new generation that turns diversity into a source of strength and a bridge for communication, KRI President Nechirvan Barzani said on Saturday.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 15th graduating class of the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani (Al-Sulaymaniyah), Barzani said differences of opinion should not lead to isolation or division, urging graduates to think independently, contribute to society and create opportunities.
Iraq’s real wealth lies in the progress and achievements of its people rather than natural resources, he added, noting that technology and artificial intelligence can provide information but cannot replace national decision-making.
