Shafaq News / The city of Erbil hosted the second edition of the Nationalities Festival at Sami Abdulrahman Park, bringing together foreign consulates, diplomatic missions, and local participants in a formal celebration of cultural diversity.
The event featured national pavilions representing various countries, each displaying traditional crafts, regional cuisines, and live performances. Musical acts and folk dances from different continents were also presented throughout the evening.
Organized in coordination with diplomatic representatives based in the Kurdistan Region, the festival aimed to promote cultural exchange and international cooperation. Participating missions used the platform to engage with the public, highlighting aspects of their national heritage and strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations.
“The festival is an opportunity to underline the Kurdistan Region’s openness and stability, particularly in comparison to broader challenges in Iraq, an official said.
