Blast near Erbil disrupts terrestrial TV broadcast

An attack hit the Khalifan area in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region’s capital, Erbil, on Friday, triggering a large explosion and knocking out terrestrial television broadcasts, a security source said.
The nature of the attack remains unclear. No immediate information on casualties or damage has been released.
