A fire broke out at the Nasiriyah Thermal Power Plant earlier Wednesday, prompting firefighters to respond to the site, a local source told Shafaq News.
The fire forced the temporary shutdown of the plant’s third generating unit, with no casualties reported, the General Company for Electric Energy Production / Southern said.
The cause of the fire remains unknown
