Shafaq News/ An earthquake hit on Sunday morning , Marmaris area southwestern Mugla province ,”the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Administration said.

"The earthquake reached 4 degrees on the Richter scale," the statement noted.

"The earthquake occurred at 10:50 a.m.  , epicenter in Marmara Sea opposite to the coast of Marmaris, 143.73 kilometers, a depth of 108.80 kilometers below the surface of the Mediterranean."

"Shortly after the earthquake, there was no information about material damage or casualties,” the statement added.
