Shafaq News / The Syrian Arab News Agency announced, on Monday evening, that the Syrian army air defenses responded to "hostile" targets, in the sky of the southwestern countryside of Damascus.
No further details were disclosed.
Al-Mayadeen TV stated, that an Israeli helicopter targeted Al-Qahtaniyah town in Al-Qunaitra countryside, in southern Syria.
For his part, Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee confirmed that Israeli warplanes and helicopters launched airstrikes against Syrian army targets in southern Syria, in response to an explosive planting attempt yesterday in the southern Heights of Golan.
Adraee said in a tweet that the targeted locations included reconnaissance sites, gathering information means, as well as anti-aircraft warfare and command and control centers in bases of the Syrian army.
The Israeli army announced finding explosive devices and weapons near the border fence, in the southern Golan Heights, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel, "will strike against anyone who tries to attack it".
The Israeli army spokesman, Avichai Adraee, revealed on Monday that, "a weapon and a bag containing several explosive devices were found, 25 meters from the border fence inside Israeli territory".
In the same context, unidentified jets carried out today, Monday, intensive airstrikes targeting positions of Iranian forces and Iranian-backed militias in Imam Ali base, areas near Al-Sekka, and in Al-Bokamal desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR).
This is not the first time the International Alliance aircraft attack Iranian forces and militias positioning in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Iranian forces and their militias are deployed in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, especially in areas adjacent to the Iraqi border, which is controlled by the Iraqi army and Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi forces.
