Shafaq News / Ilam, a Feyli province in Iran, hosted the fourth festival of children's poetry under the title "Children of Ilam".
Due to COVID-19, the festival's activities were broadcasted via video conference.
In a speech, Director General of Ilam's Culture department, said that 126 child participated in the festival, in which 506 poems from all Kurdish provinces in Iran, were presented.
For her part, Dr. Sarah Fellahi, MP of Ilam province in the Iranian parliament, said, "It is necessary to preserve our language, and this is not limited to the festival. Rather, more attention should be paid to education in Ilam province".
She added, "The Kurdish language is our culture that we are proud of. We should not abandon it. We call on the government to pay more attention to it".
