Shafaq News / Former Dubai Police Chief, Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, said that the UAE agreement with Israel will be the way to security, stability and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
In a series of tweets, Khalfan added, "It is not in the interest of neither Israel nor the Arabs to be isolated from the surrounding."
The former Dubai police chief added, "Israel is a state in the region and an integral part of Arab land, even if politics separate us, history and geography unite us with the Jews."
Last Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that he had reached an agreement described as “historic” between Israel and the UAE, saying on his official Twitter account: “It is a historic peace agreement between our two great friends, Israel and the United Arab Emirates.”
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, announced the agreement with Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop Israel's plan to annex Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank, while Netanyahu tweeted, "It is an historic day."
The Palestinian Authority and a number of Arab countries declared their rejection of this agreement, and the Palestinian leadership considered it a "betrayal."
