An Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle in Beit Jinn Farm in southwestern Syria on Saturday, injuring one person, a Shafaq News correspondent reported.
The person’s identity and condition were not immediately known. Beit Jinn Farm lies about 35 kilometers southwest of Damascus, near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Earlier this month, Israeli aircraft hit the runway and storage areas at Abu al-Duhur air base in northwestern Idlib. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu linked the operation to concerns over a possible Turkish military presence at the facility, which Israel views as a security threat.
Turkiye denied having personnel at the base, while Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani maintained that work there was limited to restoring infrastructure for the Syrian Air Force rather than establishing a Turkish base or permanent deployment. Twelve countries jointly condemned the Abu al-Duhur attack Friday as a violation of Syrian sovereignty and called for international action to uphold the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
