An Israeli strike targeted a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) position in the southern town of Odaisseh on Friday, wounding three Indonesian peacekeepers, a source told Shafaq News.
No official statement has been issued by UNIFIL so far. On March 29–30, three Indonesian peacekeepers were killed and others injured in what the mission described as a “deliberate attack,” without attributing responsibility to any party, marking the first UNIFIL fatalities since hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah resumed on March 2. The Israeli military denied involvement, while Lebanese media attributed the attack to Israel.
Meanwhile, strikes continued across Lebanon. In Sohmor, in the western Beqaa Valley, a drone strike targeted worshippers leaving a mosque, killing two people and injuring 11 others.
In southern Lebanon, one person was killed in Borj Qalaouiyeh and another in Yohmor al-Shaqif. In Shaaitiyeh, an Israeli strike killed one person and wounded four others, all Syrian nationals.
According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, at least 1,345 people have been killed and 4,040 wounded since the escalation began, including 125 children, 88 women, and more than 150 healthcare workers.
