An ambulance team escaped unharmed after an Israeli strike targeted it as it headed toward the site of two earlier strikes on Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon on Saturday, Lebanese media reported.
Israeli warplanes carried out three strikes on the town, while aircraft also struck locations in the Marjayoun, Nabatiyeh, and Tyre districts and carried out three detonations in Al-Mansouri. No immediate casualty or damage figures were available.

The Israeli military later claimed that two soldiers were lightly wounded after a Hezbollah-planted explosive device detonated in the Israeli-held “security zone” in southern Lebanon, and struck “infrastructure” in several areas of the south in response.

The blast occurred in Wadi Al-Salouqi when an engineering vehicle drove over the device, Israeli Army Radio reported, identifying the wounded soldiers as reservists. It said the military assessed that the device was old and had been planted before the June 19 ceasefire.
Hezbollah has yet to comment.
The attacks come despite the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. Israel also still holds a so-called “security zone” in southern Lebanon and has said it will not fully withdraw until Hezbollah is disarmed. Lebanon and Israel are expected to resume US-brokered security talks in Rome in October.
