An attack on King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Saturday injured several people and forced a temporary suspension of operations, Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation said.
Operations will remain suspended until the damage has been assessed, the authority said.

Yemen's Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Saree, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying the group fired two cruise missiles at Riyadh airport, a ballistic missile at Najran airport and another at the air base in Khamis Mushait, in southern Saudi Arabia, “disrupting air traffic at both airports and damaging the base.”
The US and British embassies in Riyadh urged their citizens to avoid the airport. US President Donald Trump said he had just learned of the attack and would make a decision, without elaborating.
Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry asked Saudi citizens stranded abroad by the suspension of flights to Riyadh to contact the kingdom's diplomatic missions for help.
The attack comes amid Operation Dawn of Yemen, a Saudi-backed offensive launched by forces aligned with Yemen’s internationally recognized government on October 5 against Houthi-held territory, with the stated aim of eventually retaking Sanaa.
