Shafaq News / The Ministry of Interior in Kurdistan Region and the Federal Interior Ministry opened on Monday an office for granting passports in Kosenjaq district in Erbil Governorate.
In an official ceremony attended by the Region’s Minister of Interior, Riber Ahmed, the Governor of Erbil, Firsat Sofi, the provincial police chief, Brigadier Delir Al-Najjar, and representatives of the Federal Ministry of Interior, the office opened today.
Thus, the number of passports granting offices in Kurdistan Region has become 10, four offices in Erbil and the same in Sulaymaniyah While two in Duhok.
The current Kurdistan Regional Government headed by Masrour Barzani has announced since its formation its intention to open new passport offices in the provinces of the region to facilitate getting passports on the citizens.
