Shafaq News/ Mosques and other worship places will be reopened in the Kurdistan Region during the holy month of Ramadan after months of closure due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

The Ministry of Endowments of the Kurdistan Region said that Worshippers in the predominantly Muslim Region must don masks, bring their own praying rugs with them, and perform the ablution rite at home.

The prayer time was limited to 30 minutes during Friday prayers, while Isha'a and Taraweeh prayers shall be performed in less than 35 minutes.

Since the emergence of COVID-19 in Kurdistan, 132270 patients contracted the virus, and 3768 passed away from its complications.
