Shafaq News / The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, discussed, on Wednesday, with a South Korean official, applying the "successful" South Korean experience against the COVID-19.


A statement issued by Kurdistan Region Presidency said, "The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received the Consul General of South Korea in Erbil, CHOI Kwang-Jin, and discussed the latest updates of COVID-19 spread in the region and its influence -especially on the economic situation- how to confront it, and the successful experience of South Korea in dealing with the pandemic".

The two parties stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of enhancing relations between Kurdistan Region and South Korea, as well as investment opportunities for Koreans in the region".


The Korean consul praised, "the role of the president of the region and his efforts to address problems with the federal government".
