Shafaq News- Erbil

Debris from a drone attack earlier Friday damaged at least five homes in the Karizan neighborhood in central Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

Shafaq News images showed varying levels of damage, with some houses sustaining heavy impact after fragments struck residential buildings.

No casualties were reported.

Eyewitnesses previously said two drones fell in the city —one hit an uninhabited house, while the other landed in an open area.

Erbil has faced more than 500 drone attacks since tensions escalated on February 28, Governor Omed Khoshnaw revealed on Thursday, with sites including diplomatic facilities, security positions, oil fields, communication networks, and residential areas affected.
