Shafaq News / The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani confirmed, on Friday, that targeting of the World Trade center towers in USA in 2001 is evidence that terrorism is an international threat.
Barzani tweeted, “We stand in solidarity with the American people as they remember and honor victims of September 11, 2001 attacks against the United States. The attacks were a stark reminder that terrorism is a global threat and we must remain determined to combat terror and defeat its ideology.”
Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, one of the major American cities, New York hold its annual ceremonies to commemorate the nearly three thousand people who died in the attacks that claimed the largest number of lives in history, while observing a minute of silence on the dates when the planes struck the World Trade Center towers.
And every year on September 11, two soaring beams of light turn on over Manhattan in a glowing tribute to those killed 19 years ago in terrorist attacks.
