Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced, on Friday, registering 70 deaths,3346 new cases and 1888 recovery from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.


This is the highest daily case count since the outbreak of the pandemic, as it surpassed the milestone of 3000 cases in a single day.


The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News, that "17634 swabs were examined in all the specialized laboratories in Iraq for this day, Bringing the total number of samples examined since the beginning of the outbreak in Iraq to 1000969".


The statement added, "The Ministry of Health and Environment recorded today 1888 recovery cases in Iraq, distributed as follows:

The ministry stated that the total count of recovery cases is 87,434, with a cure rate of 70.2%), while the total number of confirmed cases increased to 124,609, including 32,434 inpatients and 454 ICU-patients. The death toll is 4741.
