Shafaq News / A medical source in Diyala said on Wednesday that the governorate had recorded 193 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which is the highest daily toll since the outbreak of the epidemic, with a cure rate of 82%.

The source told Shafaq News agency, "756 new swabs were examined, which is the highest number of swabs examined throughout the epidemic in Diyala Governorate. The results turned positive for 193 cases, including 6 cases among medical personnel, 6 cases for healthcare personnel, 4 cases for laboratory personnel, and 3 cases for administrative personnel".

The source indicated that two patients passed away from the disease today, raising the death toll to 154 in the governorate. The total number of recoveries rose to 4596 cases (82% of the total cases) after registering 95 cases today.

He added that the total confirmed cases have reached 5,631 cases throughout the governorate.
