Shafaq News / The Iraqi Ministry of Health and environment registered 4348 new cases of COVID-19, which is one of the highest daily case-counts registered in the country since the beginning of the outbreak.
The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that 19278 tests were performed today, raising the total number of performed tests since the beginning of the outbreak to 1282928.
2674 patients have achieved full recovery from the virus in Iraq, distributed as follows:
Baghdad / Al-Rusafa 303, Baghdad / Al-Karkh 530, Medical City 84, Najaf 171, Al-Sulaymaniyah 40, Erbil 114, Duhok 135, Karbala 221, Kirkuk 102, Diyala 104, Wasit 26, Basra 319, Maysan 55, Babel 184, Al-Diwaniyah 87, Dhi Qar 88, Al-Anbar 36, Nineveh 61, Saladin 14.
The newly diagnosed cases were distributed as follows:
Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 396, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 592, Medical City 67, Najaf 401, Al-Sulaymaniyah 106, Erbil 297, Duhok 134, Karbala 295, Kirkuk 157, Diyala 95, Wasit 176, Basra 485, Maysan 91, Babel 121, Al-Diwaniyah 185, Dhi Qar 135, Al-Anbar 88, Al-Muthanna 169, Nineveh 250, Saladin 108.
The Ministry of Health indicated that 57 patients passed away from the complications of the virus, as follows:
Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 5, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 5, Medical City 1, Najaf 2, Al-Sulaymaniyah 7, Erbil 12, Duhok 2, Karbala 5, Kirkuk 4, Wasit 3, Basra 9, Maysan 1, Babel 5, Al-Diwaniyah 2, Al-Anbar 1, Al-Muthanna 3, Nineveh 6, Saladin 2.
The statement added that the total recovery cases since the outbreak of the virus has amounted to 125374 (recovery rate 71%), while the total number of confirmed cases has reached 176931, including 45697 inpatients and 572 ICU patients. The death toll has reached 5860.
