Shafaq News / The Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment registered, on Friday, the highest daily caseload of COVID-19, with 4013 cases.
The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency that 20446 tests were performed today, raising the total number of performed tests since the beginning of the outbreak in Iraq to 1245355.
The statement added, "The Ministry of Health and Environment recorded today 2921 recovery cases in Iraq, distributed as follows:
Baghdad / Al-Rusafa 2401, Baghdad / Al-Karkh 538, Medical City 84, Najaf 120, Al-Sulaymaniyah 42, Erbil 122, Duhok 43, Karbala 341, Kirkuk 93, Diyala 104 Wasit 97, Basra 297, Maysan 93, Babel 183, Al-Diwaniyah 107, Dhi Qar 154, Al-Anbar 48, Al-Muthanna 92, Nineveh 120, Saladin 3.
The newly diagnosed cases were distributed as follows:
Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 367, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 340, Medical City 124, Najaf 222, Al-Sulaymaniyah 173, Erbil 411, Duhok 83, Karbala 257, Kirkuk 235, Diyala 108, Wasit 252, Basra 357, Maysan 170, Babel 245, Al-Diwaniyah 116, Dhi Qar 205, Al-Anbar 89, Al-Muthanna 79, Nineveh 106, Saladin 74.
The Ministry of Health indicated that 68 patients passed away from the complications of the virus, as follows:
Baghdad/ Al-Rusafa 6, Baghdad/ Al-Karkh 4, Medical City 1, Al-Sulaymaniyah 6, Erbil 7, Karbala 4, Kirkuk 2, Diyala 2, Wasit 6, Basra 8, Maysan 2, Babel 8, Dhi Qar 1, Al-Anbar 1, Al-Muthanna 5, Nineveh 4, Saladin 1.
The ministry noted that the total number of recoveries amounted to 120129 with a recovery rate of 71.4%. The total number of positive cases rose to 168290, with 42452 inpatients and 627 patient admitted to ICU. The deaths toll stood at 5709, since the outbreak of the virus last March.
