Shafaq News / Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi held a meeting on Thursday evening with Shiite political leaders.
A source told Shafaq News agency that the early elections, the recent attacks on diplomatic missions, as well as several political and security files, will be discussed during the meeting.
The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, had previously announced that Saturday's session will be devoted to the completion of the vote upon the election law.
On July 31st, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, announced that the parliamentary elections will be held on June 6, 2021, pledging to provide international monitoring of the electoral process, while the parliamentary blocs are still divided over the date and the mechanisms for conducting the elections.
