Shafaq News / The Zamar administration announced, on Tuesday, the opening of the main road linking the district of Nineveh Governorate and the Sheila region in Duhok Governorate.

Ahmed Jaafar, director of the district, told Shafaq News agency, "The road linking Sahila and Zamar was officially opened after being closed for six months to prevent Corona virus outbreak," indicating that "citizens from the region can travel on this road from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm."

Jaafar pointed out that the decision also includes residents of remote areas who hold residency in the Kurdistan Region.

The Sahila-Zamar road is considered one of the strategic roads between the Kurdistan Region and the Sinjar regions. It was opened today, Tuesday, in front of the movement of people only, without being used for the purposes of trade exchange as a precautionary step to prevent the Corona virus.
