Shafaq News / An official security source said on Sunday that an explosion took place in southwestern Kirkuk governorate.

 The source told Shafaq News agency that an explosive device went off in Al-Riyadh sub-district of Hawija district, southwest of Kirkuk, killing a woman and wounding two other citizens.

 Kirkuk, a governorate contested by Erbil and Baghdad, still witnesses armed attacks and bombings carried out by militant groups, including ISIS, targeting civilians and security forces.
