Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) auctioned more than $5 billion in foreign currency (forex) in September.

Shafaq News Agency correspondent said that last month, the CBI foreign currency sales amounted to $4,724,149,021, at an average of $236,207,451 per auction.

The transactions were made at a weighted average of 1460 dinars to one dollar.

Our correspondent explained that most sales boosted assets abroad via credit and non-cash transactions.
