Deteriorating economic situation drives up the non-compliance to COVID-19 cases

Shafaq News/ The crisis cell in Diwaniyah Governorate attributed the poor compliance to the COVID-19 preventive measures to the deterioration of the economic situation.
The spokesman of the cell, Tahseen Al-Zrginy, said in a statement to Shafaq News Agency, "The citizens of Diwaniyah did not abide by the health measures imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, because of the economic situation they live and their dependence on daily work, as al-Diwaniyah is considered from the poorest governorates of the country."
The media Officer in al-Diwaniyah Health Directorate, Mohammad Al-Adili, said in a statement to Shafaq News Agency, "The total number of COVID-19 cases amongst the healthcare staff in al-Diwaniyah, since the beginning of the pandemic, is 758 patients and five deaths."
He added, "the total number of cases in al-Diwaniyah reached 23,853 patients."
