Shafaq News/ A joint security force from the Iraqi Army and the Intelligence services launched a pre-emptive operation to secure Baghdad's downtown ahead of the Pope's visit to the Iraqi capital.
The source told Shafaq News Agency that dispatched forces are conducting a search and sweep campaign in al-Karrada in preparation for the visit scheduled for March 5th.
